The artwork Ni/Je is an interactive sensor light box installation whose content changes by the viewers approach.

When nobody is around the artwork, the light in the box reflects on the word “JE” which in Croatian language means “It is”. As soon as the recipient approaches closer to the artwork, the sensor (which is set inside of the box) turns on and “JE” becomes “NIJE”. The word “NIJE” in the Croatian language means “It is not”.

The information is frequently accepted without the process. Today, false can easily become the truth, which is highly depended on the recipient level of attribution. The ‘presence’ of the human curiosity and questioning a particular matter can lead to a new form and then „it is“ becomes „it is not“, and vice versa.
